About VESE Vietnamese food

Sheffield's first proper Vietnamese kitchen, and it shows in the cooking — everything tastes like it was made with care rather than pushed out fast. The pork slow-cooked in apple juice sounds unlikely and turns out to be the dish people come back for; the tofu noodle salad is fresh, generous and happily vegan, which helps if one of yours has gone off meat this month. The Vietnamese coffee is worth ordering while you wait. It's a small, family-run sort of place with high chairs and a kids' menu, so younger ones are properly catered for. Two things to know: it's compact, so a big pram may need parking by the door, and the kitchen can close earlier than you'd expect — worth checking before you set off with hungry children.
