Tucked down a side street just inside the Old City walls, this is a proper sit-down Indian that manages to be busy and buzzy without losing its manners — the team greet you with a drink while you wait, ask about allergies and dietary needs before you order, and check back through the meal. Food arrives fast, often inside 15 minutes, which matters when someone small is unravelling. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, and vegetarian and vegan choices run deep. Portions are generous: the palak kofta, tiger prawn and salmon moilee and cheese naan all get raved about, and the naga chilli chicken tikka starter is far hotter than the usual, so steer children elsewhere. The lighting is dim and the music soft — lovely, though more date-night than soft-play. Weekend evenings get full; book ahead.
