A proper find if you're doing Avebury with children — plenty of parking (free, or a couple of pounds if you leave the car while you walk the stones), and a path onto the cricket ground that gets you over to the National Trust car park without stepping onto the main road. Inside it's roomy, with counter seats, around fifty places across the main room and a covered patio, and views over the cricket pitch from the outdoor tables. Food comes out quickly, which matters when someone's flagging: bacon sandwiches thick with bacon, paninis with coleslaw people go back for, banana cake, coffee and walnut, a Biscoff milkshake. Gluten-free cakes and a gluten-free breakfast too, plus vegan options and a kids' menu. Sunny weekends fill it up, and the odd order arrives less than perfect.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
