Restaurant · Newquay
Small dining room, so booking is essential and a pram will need parking rather than parading between tables — but there's plenty of free parking outside and it's easy to reach. What arrives is genuinely special: seasonal Cornish cooking on set and tasting menus, with lobster and a chocolate tart that people still talk about afterwards, plus homemade bread and butter that somehow steals the show. Portions are generous enough that nobody leaves hungry. The team know every dish inside out and are lovely with celebrations — birthday cards, candles, little surprises. High chairs, a kids' menu, vegan options and a few outdoor tables are there, and the sunset view is worth timing a meal around. Pacing is unhurried, which suits older children better than a restless toddler.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
