Restaurant · Salisbury
A family-run smokehouse with an Indian accent, and the combination genuinely works — Texas-style brisket, short rib and ribs come out tender and heavily spiced, with sides that get as much love as the meat. The spiced chips and cauliflower cheese get singled out again and again, along with chicken wings and coleslaw; portions are big enough that leftovers go home in a box. It's a small room, warm rather than cramped, with high chairs, buggy access and a kids' menu, and the owners and chef come out to chat, which tends to smooth over a fidgety wait. Worth knowing: some dishes are preorder only, so check the menu and book online first. Value is good for ££, and one visitor found the brisket cut wasn't quite what they'd pictured — the flavour still won them over.
