Tucked into the grounds of a working butchers just outside Doncaster — don't let that put you off — this is a small country kitchen where the meat comes from next door and it shows. Breakfast is what families come back for: proper sausages, bacon, black pudding, and an alternative version with sourdough, mushrooms, avocado and eggs. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, and outdoor tables when little ones need air, plus a toilet and step-free access for prams. Each table has a call button, which is quietly brilliant when you can't leave a toddler to flag someone down. Parking is free but roadside on a lane used by farm traffic, so leave room. It's tiny and gets packed — book ahead. Not the cheapest, and one parent notes portions and quality "worth it".
