There's real room to breathe here, which matters when you arrive with a pram and a toddler in tow — plenty of tables, and even on a Friday night people walk in without booking. It leans lively rather than hushed, so a noisy child won't be the loudest thing in the room, though that cuts both ways if you were hoping for calm. Food comes out quickly and the team are patient and chatty, happy to steer you toward the milder end of the menu — the jerk chicken with mo-bay sauce is the usual pick for anyone spice-shy. Sweetcorn fritters, the trini prawn curry with rice and peas, and salmon all get repeat praise, and the set menus are genuinely good value. High chairs, a kids' menu, vegan options and outdoor seating are all sorted.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
