Cosy lighting, an Italian menu that changes with the season, and a team that treats a baby at the table as entirely normal — one family celebrating a birthday here found it genuinely welcoming rather than merely tolerated. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and free parking, so the logistics are sorted before you sit down. The crab linguine comes properly al dente and children take to it; the tiramisu is a reliable favourite; pumpkin fritti with honey and pecorino, burrata with blood orange, and the venison carpaccio all get raved about. Service is attentive without hovering, and the staff are happy to steer you through the menu. It is expensive — lunch can run to around £50 a head — and the duck leg has been called salty, so it's a treat rather than a Tuesday.
