The interior is prettily decorated and homely, with a fun little alcove of tables papered in library books that children love. Staff are warm and quick, and they cope well with big groups; food arrives fast, which matters mid-meltdown. Milkshakes are a highlight, and the breakfasts, cakes and scones get real praise — with good gluten-free options, including the sausages. Worth knowing: it's not cheap (a full English runs about £13.75) and one parent found theirs underwhelming for the price. Plants, gifts and cards next door make a decent detour afterwards.
