Italian · Hove
A small Italian on Church Road that's built its reputation on proper comfort food — the gnocchi comes up again and again, especially the gorgonzola version, alongside lasagne, mushroom risotto and a homemade tiramisu people plan their meal around. Plates arrive piping hot and quickly, which matters when a child is hungry now rather than in twenty minutes. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and a few outdoor tables, and prices sit at the reasonable end for Hove. Staff are warm with families and happy to chat, though the high ceilings mean noise bounces: when several groups are in, one visitor found it hard to hold a normal conversation. The bright lighting won't suit everyone either. Worth booking at weekends — it's a small room and locals know it.
