A family business that's been feeding Manchester for over 50 years, and it shows in the small things — the traditional room fills up but the team keeps pace, and food tends to arrive fast, which matters when someone small has hit the wall. Buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu are all sorted, plus vegan and halal options, so mixed groups aren't a problem. The mixed starters are mostly dips with flatbread, easy to share and easy for little hands; the adana kebab and the baked aubergine with rice and salad get particular praise, and portions are generous. Weekday lunch specials come in around £20 a head for starter, main and a drink. Worth knowing: it gets packed, and service can drag at the end of a meal — there's a takeaway counter if you need to be quick.
