Spring Cafe
A warmly-rated Brighton café with outdoor seating and vegan options, easy and relaxed for a stop with little ones.

Thai · Brighton
Tucked away in a quiet corner of the city centre, this is a tiny family-run Thai place — only six or seven tables — so booking genuinely matters, especially at weekends. The size cuts both ways with children: it's cosy and easy to keep an eye on everyone, but a pram takes up real estate, so go early or off-peak if you can. There are high chairs and a kids' menu, and the team are warm in the way small places often are, popping out of the kitchen for a chat and happy to talk through allergies and intolerances. Everything is cooked to order and portions are generous — the Pad Thai and the beef massaman get named again and again, and there are vegan and gluten-free options. One regular simply says it "makes me happy to come here".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
