The Willow
A tiny Pateley Bridge tea room turning out proper comfort food, with high chairs, a kids' menu, sunny patio and free parking.

Restaurant · Harrogate
Set high above Pateley Bridge with sheep fields and open moor filling the windows, this farm shop café is an easy stop after a walk up Coldstones Cut — free parking, level buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu, plus plenty of room across two floors so you're not squeezing a pram past anyone. The farm-produced sausage baps and full English breakfasts get the loudest praise, along with pancakes children reliably finish, meaty steak pies and a cake counter that's worth the detour. Staff are friendly and unhurried. Worth knowing: the barn can feel cold if the upstairs fire isn't lit, prices sit slightly above café-average, and popular breakfast items occasionally run out, though the team tend to offer something in their place. One family found it a relief after somewhere "chaotically busy and noisy".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
