Children's cafe · Bristol
A play café in Kingswood that manages the rare trick of being genuinely nice for grown-ups too. The play set-up gets refreshed between visits, with a good spread of toys pitched at different ages — babies through to preschoolers — and it's open enough that little ones can roam without it tipping into overwhelming. Everything is spotlessly clean, which parents mention again and again. The food goes well beyond toast: breakfast toasties get particular praise, the gluten-free bread is properly good, and there are sandwiches, picky bits and cakes alongside Clifton Coffee, chai lattes and oat milk. Prices are reasonable and staff are patient and warm. It runs on time slots and hosts sessions and birthday parties. Worth knowing: seating is limited, so a full session can mean waiting for a table.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
