Right in the middle of Cardiff, a short walk from the Principality Stadium, this craft beer pub does a proper job of feeding families too — there's a kids' menu, high chairs, and buggy access through the door. Come at lunchtime or early evening and it's roomy and comfortable, with lots of small and medium tables spread across a few rooms; weekends and match days are a different story, when it fills up fast and the music gets loud, so book if you want to sit down and eat. The burgers get the loudest praise (the chicken one especially), alongside crispy onion rings and fish and chips with a local twist, and there's a Sunday roast seitan bap for anyone plant-based. Staff are friendly and happy to talk you through the beer list. Dogs welcome too.
