The Nags Head
A well-loved Tarporley pub with outdoor seating and mid-range prices, perfect for a relaxed family meal out.

Cafés · Tarporley
A village café that's earned its regulars, and one that works surprisingly well with children in tow — buggy access, high chairs, a kids' menu, outdoor seating and free parking, plus vegan options if you need them. Inside it's cosy and clean, with plenty of seats, including lots of small two-seaters, so there's usually somewhere to land. The staff get consistent praise for being warm and attentive without hovering; one visitor says they "make you feel like family". Food comes out quickly and fresh — the tomato and roasted pepper soup with croutons, the chips, and hash browns with avocado all get named repeatedly, and there's a cake stand by the counter. Portions on the big breakfast can run smaller than you'd expect for the price, and it can feel a little chilly inside. Dogs welcome too.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
