The Tavern Co
A roomy Liverpool pub doing bottomless-brew breakfasts and proper burgers, with high chairs, free parking and famously patient staff.

South East Asian · Liverpool
A Thai kitchen on Smithdown Road that works well for families partly because of its size — the downstairs looks small and snug, but there's a big seating area upstairs, so there's usually room to park a pram without blocking anyone. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, free parking takes one worry off the drive, and the small-plates format is genuinely useful with children: order a few things, share, and nobody waits for one big arrival. Duck spring rolls, pad thai, udon noodles and the spiced aubergine come up again and again, and there's plenty for vegan and gluten-free eaters. Portions run on the small side and it gets busy at weekends and bank holidays, when food can take a while — worth calling ahead if you're a big group. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful.
