Cafés · Buxton
A stone's throw from the middle of Tideswell, this is the sort of café that fills up fast and deserves to — plan around a wait at peak times, though there's more seating than the cosy front suggests, including an upstairs room with pretty views over the village. Breakfast is the reason most people come back: the full English gets talked about in superlatives, and it's worth adding an extra hash brown. Coffee is properly good, and there's a solid run of cakes, Derbyshire oatcakes and vegan options for later in the day. Allergies and intolerances are handled without fuss, staff stay cheerful with big groups, and there's a kids' menu, high chairs, outdoor tables and free parking. Prices are fair for the Peak District. Dogs are welcome too, which helps if you're mid-walk.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
