Cafés · Swindon
Just off the M4 outside Swindon, this farm shop café works well as a family stop, with a huge car park with wide bays, buggy access, high chairs and both indoor and outdoor tables. Breakfast is the big draw — properly poached eggs, a hearty larger breakfast — and Sunday roasts are popular enough that booking is wise. The children's lunchbox comes generously filled, and the sausage, chips, peas and gravy is genuinely good value, though the farmhouse ham sandwiches are cut for adult jaws rather than a five-year-old's. Staff are consistently warm and happy to explain things. Two honest snags: weekend and payday mornings get busy, which slows food and the single till at checkout, and prices run above average — one larger breakfast with drinks came to £26. The farm shop's deli, butchers and bakery are worth browsing afterwards.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
