Cafe Zambezi
A relaxed mid-priced Plymouth restaurant with an early 5.0 rating, easy for a casual family meal out.

Pub · Plymouth
A proper old harbourside local, worn round the edges in the comfortable way, with a nautical, rustic feel and plenty of floor space — handy if you're steering a pram through at lunchtime. There are high chairs and a kids' menu, the toilets are clean, and there's a decent amount of seating rather than the usual scrum for a table. The outdoor seating is the easy option with children; drinks are reasonably priced for Plymouth, the beer range runs deep into cask ales, and the staff are genuinely welcoming to newcomers. Worth knowing: it's a music pub at heart, so evenings and weekends bring bands and a lively crowd, and there's a pool table on the go — great fun for older kids, less so for a quiet meal. Food is the weaker link; come for the atmosphere and the welcome. One visitor called it simply "the highlight of Plymouth".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
