Roomy Sheffield café-bar with a huge terrace, step-free side entrance, outstanding coffee and generous vegan-friendly breakfasts — pricey, and busy inside at peak times.

Pub · Sheffield
Tucked a little away from Sheffield's centre, this is an old-style pub with a proper tap-room feel — well-kept ales, a beer garden round the back that regulars rave about, and enough different corners to park yourself: comfy sofas, booths and high tables. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating, and the sandwiches are famously cheap and good. Come early — quiet at 7pm on a Saturday is normal, and that's your window with children, because later it turns into a proper night out with a DJ, a small dance floor and doors open until the small hours. Drinks are reasonably priced and the choice is wide. Staff get warm praise for being welcoming, and the door team has a real reputation for looking after people. One visitor calls it a pub where "you can have a conversation with anyone".
