Tucked into the village a short drive from Selby, this is the kind of café that makes a slow Sunday breakfast feel easy. There's covered outdoor seating as well as a cosy indoor extension — people describe sinking into it "like sitting at home on the sofa" — so you're not stuck if the weather turns, and free parking plus buggy access takes the faff out of arriving. Orders come quickly, the team are welcoming, and there's real flexibility with breakfasts if your children object to half the plate. Big stacks of pancakes, smashed avocado on granary toast with perfectly poached eggs, full English, and a cake counter that defeats the indecisive: the toffee pot gets particular praise.
