Cafés · Liverpool
Just across from John Lewis, this little plant-based spot is easy to miss and worth finding. It's entirely vegan, does gluten-free too, and the menu is broad enough that fussy eaters and grandparents both find something — big breakfasts, Veggs Royale, cauliflower wings with a mild buffalo sauce, Biscoff pancakes, croissants and cakes in the counter. Portions are genuinely huge; the gyros easily feeds two. Staff are warm without fussing — offering water, pointing out the toilets, turning the music down for a table sat under the speaker. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and a few outdoor tables. It fills up fast at weekends, so go early or expect a wait. Prices sit slightly above café-average and a service charge is added. One family found it "calm despite most tables being occupied".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
