A restored stone inn in Tetbury with real ales, organic food and outdoor seating — a warm, well-rated spot for families.

Restaurants · Tetbury
Tucked just off the Cirencester road, this is a proper Cotswold country pub — rustic, cosy and warm, with a family-run feel that shows in how the team handles a full room. Even at their busiest they'll try to squeeze you in, and they're cheerful about it, which counts for a lot when you arrive with children in tow. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, buggy access is easy, parking is free, and there's outdoor seating for when small people need to be outside. The chicken supreme gets named again and again, the ham, egg and chips too, and Sunday roasts arrive with big Yorkshire puddings and plenty of gravy. Portions satisfy without being silly. It isn't cheap — around £120 for three with drinks — and weekends fill up, so book ahead.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
