Plenty of praise here for the cooking — the massaman curry and coconut rice come in for repeated raves, along with the panang, the smoked duck curry and a well-cooked sea bass with crisp vegetables. Portions are generous and dishes arrive nicely presented, and the room itself is quaint and prettily decorated with music kept at a level you can talk over. High chairs, a kids' menu, buggy access and vegan dishes are all in place. The honest snag: service can be slow when it's busy, with only one or two people covering the floor on packed nights, so this suits older children who'll wait rather than a toddler on the edge. Not every dish lands — some find the green curry thick — but the highs are high. Booking is wise at weekends.
