Tivoli Cafe
A budget-friendly Brighton café with outdoor seating and vegan options, and a warm local following for an easy family visit.

Pub · Brighton
Tucked right by Preston Park station, this is the kind of old pub that has kept its bones — timeless inside, with far more room than the frontage suggests and a good spread of seating, so a pram isn't a problem and a family can spread out. The Sunday roast is what people come back for: pork belly described as faultless, beef so tender it gets finished off other people's plates, and fish and chips that hold up too. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, and outdoor tables for warmer days. Prices are fair and there are daily specials. The staff are genuinely kind and unhurried with children — one parent calls the owners the sort who "make you feel like a regular". Worth knowing: it can get noisy and hard to talk when it's busy, and roasts are worth booking.
