Akram Kashmiri Restaurant
Fast, generous Kashmiri cooking in a room that welcomes messy toddlers — kids' menu, high chairs, free parking and BYO.

Children's cafe · Birmingham
A small place done properly — spotless, easy to get a buggy into, and just the right size that you can see every corner from your table. The play area packs a lot in: ball pit, slide, climbing steps with swinging bags to dodge, a music panel with bubbles and lights, mirrors and sensory stepping stones, plus a bit set aside for babies. Toilets are well stocked with nappies, wipes and pads. Light bites are fresh and reasonably priced, and the kids' lunch boxes come out sweetly presented — tables are laid with car mats and booked under your child's name. The team are warm and hands-on. One honest snag: it's compact, so when a busy session fills up it can feel full-on and hard to reach your child quickly. Quieter slots are the ones to aim for.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
