About The Sisters Café

A proper old-school greasy spoon on the Birmingham road, and a handy one to know if you're travelling with children who need feeding quickly — food comes out fast and the team are friendly with it. The full English is the thing people come back for, the Big Jim in particular, and the toasted sandwiches (hash brown, egg and mushroom) get their own following. Prices are gentle, portions aren't stingy, and there's a kids' menu, high chairs and free parking outside, with a few outdoor tables and level access for a pram. Two honest snags: it's small, so it fills up completely within about fifteen minutes of opening on a Saturday — get there early — and the cooking can be inconsistent, with some breakfasts arriving well short of the ones regulars rave about. Worth knowing they take cash.
