Gwen's Cafe
Small, warm Cheltenham café in Tarlings Yard with a hearty full English, kids' menu, high chairs and free parking.

Restaurant · Cheltenham
A proper pub kitchen sits behind this one, and it shows — plates arrive piping hot with generous portions and, unusually, proper vegetables rather than an afterthought. Families do well here: there's a kids' menu, high chairs, and enough on the main menu (lite bites, a specials board, steak and fish nights) that fussy eaters and hungry teenagers land somewhere. The Sunday roast draws people back — beef with plenty of meat, around £20 — and the lambs liver with bubble and squeak, faggots and sausages get named again and again. Worth knowing: everything is cooked fresh, so there's a wait, which is hard going with a hungry toddler; order drinks and snacks early. The restaurant side stays calm on quieter evenings while locals fill the bar, and one large pre-booked party waited well past their time, so keep groups small.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
