Fish and chips and hunter's chicken are safe bets; portions are generous and prices genuinely gentle. Staff are cheerful and welcoming, and there's a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating. Sunday lunch is the weak spot — several families have found it a step below the weekday cooking.
