Pub · Manchester
A proper old Manchester pub just off Oxford Road, small-looking from the street but far bigger inside, with a cobbled outdoor area that's the easiest spot for a family — room to park a pram, and high chairs and a kids' menu inside if the weather turns. The homemade pizzas are the reason to bring children: the goat's cheese and the meat feast get named again and again, and they're the sort of thing a hungry six-year-old will actually eat. Timing matters more than usual here. It's genuinely busy and loud by Saturday evening, and one visitor found it noisy at half four on a Tuesday, so early afternoon is your window. Mixed crowd of all ages, a friendly one, and a metal jukebox in the corner. Cash isn't accepted, and the phone signal indoors is terrible.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
