Friar Tucks
A friendly Gloucester pub with a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating — an easy, mid-priced spot for a family meal.

Coffee Shops · Gloucester
Tucked away in Quedgeley, this looks tiny from the pavement but opens out around a corner into far more space than you'd expect — useful when you're arriving with a pram and a toddler in tow. Breakfast and brunch are the main event: crumpets under melted cheese with chorizo and a runny fried egg, avocado on toast with halloumi, loaded hash browns, and sausage rolls that people come back for. The coffee is genuinely good, food arrives fast and piping hot, and the staff take fussy-eater tweaks in their stride. There are high chairs, a kids' menu, outdoor tables and free parking. It gets rammed within half an hour of opening and queues form on Sunday mornings, so go early — and the tea, unlike the coffee, isn't worth £3.20.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
