Sitting right on the River Cam, this is a smarter, grown-up sort of steakhouse that still makes room for children — there's a kids' menu and high chairs, and the team have a reputation for being attentive and genuinely warm, which counts for a lot when you arrive with a tired toddler. The steaks are what people come back for: the fillet and the 10oz ribeye get rapturous write-ups, and the scotch egg starter, grilled halloumi and whole grilled lobster all have their fans. Puddings — brownies, cheesecake — are worth saving room for.
