About The Queens Arms

Tucked into the Jewellery Quarter on a Newhall Street corner, this Victorian pub has been smartly refurbished and keeps an unhurried, welcoming feel — the sort of place where the noise level is buzzy enough to feel lively but calm enough to hear each other across the table. Worth knowing before you set out: the kitchen doesn't run a full food service, so it's bar snacks only — but you're genuinely welcome to bring your own food in, which suits a picnic-style lunch with children more than you'd expect. There's a stash of board games behind the bar (Ludo, Uno, dominoes) that buys you a quiet half hour, bench tables outside, high chairs, buggy access and free parking. Dogs are welcomed too. The staff are consistently patient and cheerful, and prices are fair for the city centre.
