A proper family pub on the Swansea edge of things, with large outdoor play areas and indoor soft play — the kind of place where lunch can stretch out because the children have somewhere to go between courses. Buggy access, high chairs, a kids' menu and free parking make the arrival bit painless, and there's a shop on site too. The Sunday roast is what families come back for: one visitor ordered the pork with two children's roasts and reported the beef "melted in my mouth", with mash and roast potatoes both on the plate. The shin of beef pie and the brownies get singled out too. Worth knowing the kitchen changed hands and opinions on the newer menu are split — some find the small plates pricey for the portion — but the bar and floor staff are consistently warm.
