The Cuppa Cabin at Greenvalley
A well-loved, budget-friendly tea house in Exeter with a 4.9 rating — an easy spot for a relaxed cuppa.

Gastropub · Exeter
Just off the Exeter–Exmouth road, this village pub has become a proper family standby — partly because there's a playground directly across the very quiet road, ideal for burning off energy after pudding. Inside there's plenty of room, so a buggy isn't a problem, and the staff are genuinely accommodating with children: one family's six-year-old wouldn't eat peas or beans, and the kitchen simply swapped in vegetables he liked. Free parking sits front and back. The fish and chips draw real praise — fresh fish in a golden, faintly turmeric-tinged batter with outstanding chunky chips — and the Sunday roast with cauliflower cheese is a favourite, though portions can run small for the price and food sometimes arrives slowly when it's busy. The garden has heaters and a summer house for chillier evenings.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
