Perched on the Glenshane Pass in the Sperrin Mountains, this is Ireland's highest bar and restaurant, and the drive up alone will keep small faces glued to the window. Inside it's dark wood, an open hearth and cosy nooks, with enough space that even on a busy Sunday there's usually room to park a buggy. Free parking outside, high chairs, a kids' menu and a patio with mountain views for when someone needs to run off steam. Food comes out fast — one family had four different mains and rated them all — with a good gluten-free selection, generous portions and a well-liked turkey roast. Stick to the classics; a few people found the fried plates basic. It gets genuinely busy, so service can slow at peak times, but the staff are warm and unflappable with children.
