A pram gets you through the door here without a fight — the owners will help lift it in, tell you if there's a queue, and call you up when your order is ready, which takes the guesswork out of a wobbly wait. It's bright, clean and roomier than most town-centre cafés, with a big, genuinely well-stocked toy corner that buys you ten minutes with a coffee. The vegan baking is the standout: blueberry bakewell slices, carrot cake, half a dozen brownie flavours, plus vegan milkshakes and hot chocolate, and the carrot cake portions are enormous. Sandwiches, wraps and calzones cover lunch, and there are high chairs, a kids' menu and outdoor seating. The loo is stocked with spare nappies for anyone caught short. One parent calls it simply "my regular cafe".
