Cafés · Barnsley
Handy stop after a walk round Cannon Hall Country Park, this little café sits right by the car park with toilets next door — easy going with a buggy, and free parking means you're not feeding a meter while someone finishes a bun. Most of the seating is outside under parasols, with cushioned benches and a few tables indoors if the weather turns, so it suits noisy toddlers better than a hushed dining room. Food comes out fast: the bacon sandwiches and bacon-and-mushroom butties get the most love, and the carrot cake is properly good and not too sweet. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and vegan options. Worth knowing it's a bit pricey for what you get, and it gets very busy on farm event days, though the staff keep the queue moving.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
