Tucked on the Wallasey high street, this is the kind of independent spot where the lighting is low, the music soft, and the staff attentive without hovering — easier than most sit-down places when you've a toddler in tow. Buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu are all sorted, and there's outdoor seating if you'd rather not worry about noise. Food is fresh and properly made: pork belly bites in honey, king prawn and chorizo linguine, halloumi salad, a chicken burger with home-made chips, and Wirral chips that regulars order every time. Sunday roasts get particular praise, as does the sticky toffee pudding. Vegan and vegetarian options are there too. Two courses with drinks for four came in under £90. It does get stretched on busy Sunday afternoons, so booking is worth it.
