The Fine Brownie Company
A warmly-rated Southampton bakery-café for sharing a brownie and a coffee with the little ones in tow.

Café · Southampton
Sitting on the sunny side of London Road, this is a bright, minimal room with plenty of seating and enough space to get a pram in without a fuss — buggy access, high chairs, a kids' menu and vegan options are all sorted, and there are tables outside for sunny days. Coffee is the real draw: smooth flat whites at slightly under the going rate, creamy cappuccinos, and an espresso Freddo worth ordering. The donuts and blueberry croissants get properly rhapsodic praise, though the food menu is short and one or two people have hit a stale one. Drinks and lite bites arrive quickly, which matters when someone's losing patience, and the music stays low enough that you're not shouting. The staff are consistently warm — one visitor calls it "a lovely chilled atmosphere". Toilets can be hit and miss.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
