Cafés · Woodhall Spa
Tucked up an alleyway at the top of Woodhall Spa, this is the sort of place you'd walk past without noticing, which is half the charm. The dining room is dated but spotless, with enough space between tables that a pram parked at your side isn't a problem, and there's basic garden seating if the kids need air. Prices are low, portions generous, and the menu is big enough to please fussy eaters — full breakfasts, hot lunches, sandwiches, and a cake counter with a lemon and white chocolate that people come back for. Gluten-free choices are unusually good, covering most of the cakes. Service stays quick and polite even when it's busy. Staff are mostly young and friendly, though one parent found the owner a little brusque about moving tables. Kids' menu, high chairs, free parking.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
