Wolfridge Alpaca Barn
A working alpaca farm near Bristol with a café and animals to meet, making for an easy, relaxed family day out.

Pub · Bristol
A carvery pub on the edge of Bristol that families detour for — one couple calls it their "favourite place to stop when travelling home to Cornwall." The carvery runs all day, every day, which is genuinely useful when children want dinner at 4pm: plenty of meat, Yorkshire puddings, and a big spread of fresh vegetables so fussy eaters can build their own plate. The menu is long beyond the roast, with freshly made pizzas and burgers, and there's a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating. The car park is a decent size and free, so no circling with a car seat. Staff are generally warm and handle dietary requirements — gluten-free, dairy-free — without fuss. Sundays get busy, so book. Quality can wobble when they're slammed, but at £ prices it's hard to beat for a family roast.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
