Tucked on the edge of town near the river, this is the sort of stop that works when you've been in the car for hours and everyone needs feeding. The space is thoughtfully laid out with plenty of room indoors and a good spread of outdoor tables, so a pram isn't a problem and nobody minds a bit of noise. Staff are consistently kind and quick — food arrives without a long wait, which matters at the melting-down stage. The full Welsh breakfast with its thick slab of buttered toast and local bacon gets the loudest praise, and vegan families are genuinely well looked after: a vegan fry-up, several mains, and cakes like coffee walnut all made without dairy. There's bara brith and daily specials at the counter. Worth knowing: portions can feel small for the price, and it's busy on bank holidays. Free parking, high chairs, kids' menu, dogs welcome.
