About The Lion & Lobster
One of the oldest pubs in Brighton, this one rambles over several floors — a proper pub downstairs with snug booths, a slightly smarter restaurant on the first floor, and a sunny roof terrace above that. It's a big place, which is the useful bit with children: even when it's busy it rarely feels crammed, and service is quick and genuinely warm, so nobody's waiting long. There's a kids' menu and high chairs, plus outdoor seating when you need the noise to go somewhere. Sunday roasts are what people come back for — pork with proper crackling, homemade apple purée, a fluffy Yorkshire, gravy one parent reckons you'd "drink out of the jug". The crispy cauliflower starter gets a lot of love too. Roasts aren't cheap and it fills up, so book ahead. The beach is a short walk for burning off lunch.
