Staff are patient and genuinely good with allergies, explaining things properly rather than shrugging. Worth knowing: it can be packed by six, and while some find the food excellent, others call it solid pub grub rather than remarkable. Wednesday jazz nights and quiz nights mean the noise level varies a lot — lunchtimes are the calmer bet with little ones.
