Cafés · Settle
Perched on a caravan and camping site just outside Settle, this place trades on views that genuinely stop you in your tracks — worth asking for a window table if you arrive early. There are different seating areas so you can pick somewhere quieter with a pram, plus outdoor tables that seem to soak up most of the weekend crowd, leaving the inside surprisingly calm. Food comes hot and fast, usually within 15 or 20 minutes, which matters when someone's patience is running out. The beef on the Sunday roast draws real praise, as does the scampi and chips, the pork gyozas and the hot honey crispy chicken. Three courses on a Sunday runs about £26. Portions can be hit and miss — sometimes enormous, sometimes modest — but the quality is consistent, and staff are warm without fussing.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
