The kitchen burger and fish burger get the most praise, along with generous chips, chowder, mac and cheese, and a cake counter that keeps the Victoria sponge moving; cappuccinos come with chocolate donkey ears, which lands well with small people. Vegan and gluten-free options are properly on the menu rather than an afterthought. It gets busy, and breakfast can be hit-and-miss — one family found theirs only lukewarm — but lunch and cake are consistently good value.
