A little Romanian kitchen tucked into Stonehouse, and the sort of place where a fussy eater doesn't feel like a problem — one family arrived braced for an ordeal and found the team patient and genuinely accommodating. Food is cooked fresh in front of you, which helps when a child is running out of patience, and the menu roams from full English breakfast to traditional Romanian dishes and French pastries. The cakes are the thing people talk about: it's not unusual to see someone order one to eat in and ten to take away. Proper Italian espresso for the grown-ups, real-lemon lemonade for everyone else. There are high chairs, a kids' menu, buggy access, outdoor seating and free parking. It's small, so busy stretches feel snug, and the soups have sadly come off the menu.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
