Sunday roasts are the draw — beef served pink, two kinds of potato, a giant Yorkshire, and a different gravy with each main — though a few families find plates arrive less than piping hot. Weekday afternoons the kitchen keeps going when much of Nottingham has stopped, and food comes out fast. Staff are unfailingly good at squeezing people in. Prices sit at the upper end, and Sunday genuinely needs booking.
